Family History

My first projects in nature are a number of miniatures that depict aspects of my family history, which include a butcher shop and a country church.

Butcher Shop
My butcher shop is an exact replica of my  maternal great grandfather’s butcher shop in Southside Chicago. I had a photo to work from so the interior of the shop looks like his did in the 1920's.

Country Church
The country church is a replica of my paternal grandparents church in rural Illinois outside of Chicago that they married in and both are buried in the church graveyard across the street.
